The Intermountain Forest Association is an advocate for healthy forests and healthy communities.  Working towards that goal, the Association develops and implements solution-oriented policies intended to provide a positive climate for forest management that includes a stable and sustainable supply of timber from public and private forestlands. IFA also works to ensure that regulations affecting our member companies remain reasonable.

We serve as a source of information to media, the public, and other interested parties on a wide variety of forestry and natural resource issues.  Additionally, we provide a conduit for our member companies to develop cooperative relationships among our peers and colleagues.

Our programs meet today’s challenges with creative strategies that recognize current environmental and economic realities. We have a firm commitment to environmental responsibility and accountability, advancements in manufacturing technology, forestry science, and the business principles that have helped forest products businesses survive and prosper in the Intermountain west for a century.
