Intermountain Forest Association
Intermountain Forest Association develops and implements solution-oriented policies intended to provide a positive climate for forest management as well as a stable and sustainable supply of timber from public and private forestlands. The Association also works to assure that regulations affecting our member companies remain reasonable.
Furthermore, we serve as a source of information to media, the public and other interested parties on a wide variety of forestry and natural resource issues; additionally, we provide a conduit for our member companies to develop cooperative relationships among our peers and colleagues.
In pursuit of these goals, the Association is organized into
three program areas: federal government relations, state government
relations, and communications. Each of these programs meets today's
challenges with creative strategies that recognize current
environmental and economic realities. We have a firm commitment to
environmental responsibility and accountability; advancements in
manufacturing technology and forestry science; and the business
principles that have helped forest products businesses survive and
prosper in the intermountain west for a century.
